Probably because of the huge expansion and TV deal that’s coming. They are moving into MLS dominated markets.
I know, locally, that there is one coming to Dallas and I saw others that have been announced. Seems like I even saw one for Louisiana. Arkansas is also getting one.
10 expansion teams at this time and looking to add more. They’re talking about pro-rel

Garland I think? I wish it was closer to the middle of DFW. Silly to have an MLS team and USL team on the same side of the metro.
