Pool Fence

Need a fence around our saltwater pool. Got a quote last week and the guy who came out to measure says only steel fence due to the corrosion of saltwater; I was thinking aluminum. Fence isn't right next to the water, at closest it would be 6ft in two spots. No kids anymore who would splash etc. Caught me off guard cause all I've seen looking into options is aluminum. Heck, most of the pool furniture has aluminum and haven't noticed a thing in couple years we've had it.
This legit or this guy selling the higher cost fence?

That's what my fence guy did around my pool as well for the same reason, and he's a good friend so he wouldn't try to upsell me.

What kind of fence are we talking here? Why do you want aluminum? It's more expensive. You can say kids won't splash in your pool, but water from the pool will make its way to the fence.
Salt water will cause aluminum to corrode, so that part is true. But steel should be significantly cheaper than aluminum.

I just got the quote for steel but he did say on the visit steel was just slightly higher.
