Tragic if that is the case. No way they deserve a 3. Bull shite

Flaujae injury and dropping a few late games killed us

I would like to avoid whatever region has UConn as a #2 seed.
There is a gap between 2 seeds.
UConn is clearly best. Notre Dame is a bit lower, then there is a big drop after that to TCU and NC State.

Tough road to the Final Four if so. Not that it wouldn't be regardless. There are actually a whole handful of teams that could absolutely win the title this year, sadly LSU is not one of them. They are in the next tier, could win, but would be a surprise.

We absolutely deserve a 3-seed. We lost a few late and we got passed by at least TCU and probably NC State, even though we did beat them.

Most project UCONN will be the 2 seed paired with Texas (bad news for Texas)
LSU will probably get either NC St or Notre Dame. SC will likely get the easiest 4 seed which would be TCU.
I hope we get NC St. Only good news about the ND matchup is they do not have post play so Morrow and our bigs should be okay if that matchup happens. Hidalgo and Miles will be hell though. Ironically OU is a 3 seed projected to get NC St and USC. Crazy how they are getting a better deal than us if that happens..

And being a 3-seed may work to our advantage geographically.
As a 2-seed, we would automatically be in the Spokane Region. Texas and SC will be 1's, both will be in Birmingham, and they don't put two teams in the same league as 1-2 in a region.
As a 3- seed, we at least have a chance to be in Birmingham the 2nd weekend.

Lost to the top 2 teams and one by a few points at home and one in the tourney without Johnson and 1/2 game no Morrow. Injuries should not impact the selection - period.
Like I said - Bull shite

And like I said, a couple of teams passed us up with late runs like TCU. This isn't just about LSU in a vacuum

quote:that is a shite team. LSU would smother slow arse VL and company defensively. They have zero answer for them. This LSU team has a chance to be the all time winningest in LSU regular season history had Johnson not gotten injured.
TCU
It is bull shite

All I see are teams LSU BEAT in there you are referencing.

This. Big time want to avoid UConn until Final Four. They look like the best team to me even though they play in a shite conference but that’s not how basketball works.

Meh. I don’t think this matters. We have just as good a chance to perform as well—or as poorly—in Spokane as Birmingham.

I meant advantage in terms of not having to travel far and to maybe have some fans show up if we are in Birmingham.

Would be a nice crowd there, Spokane much further away, although I do have to say LSU did travel quite well last year to Albany

Oh they gave UCLA the #1 overall seed
Posted on 3/16/25 at 7:08 pm to Tiger1988
That’s exactly what they deserve after the way they finished the season.
Posted on 3/16/25 at 7:11 pm to Tigerbait357
All right! NC State in the Sweet Sixteen.
UCLA in the Elite Eight, but have to beat them somewhere.
But no, can’t take Florida State for granted in the second round.

FSU may be the most difficult 6 seed tbh, I don't love this at all
But NC St in sweet 16 is huge, very favorable matchup for LSU
