Ditto. We had one at our last house. They were good at servicing it also.

Robert the Pool Enclosure Guy. He split from Adam’s not too long ago. He’s the guy you want. Great work!

What’s the reason for this?

I see these Bernie and then…. It to me it kind of defeats the purpose.

Supposed to be outside in the sun, etc. when swimming…

You still get plenty of sunshine. The reason we did it was to keep mosquitos, flies, and other bugs out. Since we back up to woods, it also helps keep the pool free of debris, snakes don’t get in, etc.. It’s really nice to enjoy eating crawfish on the back patio/pool area without flies ruining the good time.

They can range from $5-$10/SqFt (walls & ceiling) depending on materials and the complexity of the design. Get a bunch of different quotes and ask questions about the materials.

Also, check your Homeowners policy to see if it's covered for wind damage. You may want to add that to your policy if you're gonna spend $50k on this thing.

Like I said, it really depends on the complexity and quality of materials. That's why I'd get a bunch of different quotes. If it's a simple rectangle design it may be closer to what you are thinking. If it's tied into the house with complex angles or you have a really large area to be covered, the price is gonna go up.

$50k is definitely on the high side, I just recommended you check your policy if you're gonna spend a bunch on the enclosure and it gets damaged in a storm. It's something people don't usually think about.

Ours was around $35,000. The enclosure is roughly 52' x 28' total. 2 of the walls are screens (back wall and right side), and the other 2 sides connect to the house. We have 2 doors. We have their super gutters that divert water from the roofline to the downspouts. I'm sure we had to pay a little more due to them having to travel up to North Louisiana, but I have zero regrets going with them.

Makes sense with the woods behind you. I’m on about 2 acres but houses around. … I’m about 240 feet from my wood line that separates my neighbors behind me… some debris, but not terrible

Our outdoor kitchen and patio cover are attached to our back porch., we cook out there 3-6 nights a week. It's like an addition to your house if attached. So if you use it as we do it's a not too expensive per square foot addition to your home. Keeps from heating your home while cooking

Adams Aluminum, was 15 yrs ago so I do not remember price. They have come several times for repair after hurricanes and hail events and provide good service. Sometime you have to wait when water events back them up. It will make your water cooler than direct sun. No other issues, would build one again if I ever moved ( will not move)
