I hate to say I’m looking forward to the Daffney episode, but that one could be the best of the season. Heartbreaking story.

Im not at all familiar with about half of those, and i like to think im pretty well versed in my wrasslin history.
What is the story on Original Sheik? Iron Sheik will always be GOAT Sheik.

Legendary wrestler who promoted the Detroit territory was doing all that hardcore ECW bullshite way back in the day. Sabu is his nephew.

Looking forward to the hell in a cell episode. Prob top 3 memorable match in wrestling history.

I feel like they should've done the Foley/Rock I Quit match instead of HIAC.

The Ludvig Borga episode should be a wild ride.

Jim Ross: "Hey Tony, you're gonna have to cover up that SS tattoo."
Tony Halme: "Why?"
Tony Halme: "Why?"

HIAC is more infamous and Beyond The Mat pretty much covered the I Quit match as much as it will ever be covered.

It’s a very interesting list to say the least.
Tony Atlas’ career is very colorful to say the least and he has stuck in there despite being homeless at one point when the territories went away.
Billy Jack Haynes is legit fricking nuts and has killed at least one person (his wife as a mercy killing IIRC).
Vader isn’t remembered in this country how he should be due to his failed WWF run and the whole Orndorff fight in WCW that got him fired.
Daffney is a legit tragedy and Dixie Carter should rot in hell for how Daffney got treated during all her concussion issues.
Ludvig Borga? shite wrestler but a legit Finnish politician and MMA fighter.
I think the odd man out is Muhammad Hassan, who wasn’t a great wrestler to begin with and was roundly hated by the locker room in addition to the network saying “Never put him back on TV again.”
Cornette may have a lot to say about that one since he was running developmental when he was there.

There's nothing "dark" about HIAC though. Nobody was seriously injured and it made Foley a legend.

Hopefully much of the Superstar episode will be about how he became the most ripped off persona/gimmick/look in modern pro wrestling history.

He was the top heel for a decent run in WCW

Dude was a nazi.
Eddie Gilbert episode should be pretty good too especially if they interview the right people.

And that gets forgotten along with how big he was in Japan due to losing a fight with Orndorff along with Shawn Michaels’ unprofessional bullshite in 1996 killing him off in the US.

Cornette would have never put Hassan in a main event status immediately coming up from OVW. He would have known the heat from the other guys backstage would have likely caused problems. And according to a Shane Helms shoot, there was major jealousy towards Hassan, who by all accounts was a really good guy. Maybe with a different booking strategy, the martyr segment with Daivari wouldn't have happened or wouldn't have coincided with the London bombings and he'd have had a 10-year run.

They’ve been grasping at straws for 2 seasons now on the “dark” part. They are just throwing things at the wall now. The Eddie Gilbert one should be good pretty sure he was juicing and doing blow and a functional alcoholic which is quite the trifecta

Eddie’s neck had been fricked since a car wreck in WWF which happened the same night Superfly beat his girlfriend to death.

Well Eddie was his own worst enemy like Buddy Landell. Maybe all the steroids contributed to his paranoia. Going above Flair's head to Jim Herd in 89 WCW, for example.

The Original Shiek … his name was Ed Farhat … may be off the radar for a lot of younger fans, but he’s a titanic figure in pro wrestling history and this will be an interesting one.
He never broke kayfabe in his life, but a book about him came out a couple of years ago that told his story. He was big and powerful enough (he was the behind the scenes promoter in Detroit) to where he made enough cash to own an 11,000 square foot house that’s a bed and breakfast today.
And he filled arenas doing special shots in other promotions from coast to coast.
Then he pissed it all away because even in his 50s he was booking himself to go over against people young enough to be his kid or refusing to put people over for other promotions because he was in love with having his hand raised instead of doing jobs in the best interests of the promotion, he spent every dollar he made as fast as he got it (was a degenerate gambler) and got into drugs.
He was still in his 70s wrestling freaks like Abdullah the Butcher in Japan in rings that were on fire and surrounded by barbed wire, because he needed cash.

Yes! Yes! Yes! There are a lot of ones not familiar with, but those usually end up being the best.
Hey wait a second this is on the ms board. The board nazis might ask for a ban.
