Definitely. I actually feel bad for Lane. Huge guy, trying his best, but probably needed to start training in fighting a lot earlier to compete with the best pros.

Yeah, he's definitely late to the game, but being a heavyweight gives him a tad more life. That aged chin doesn't bode well for him, though.

Should have did Cruz memorial next week in front of a crowd. Cruz was an amazing fighter with a very unique style. One of the best to ever do it.

Have to wonder if the ref didn't stop the fight to have them put their mouthpieces back in, would Brundage have had the breather to land those power shots that put Marquez down?
Also, did everyone agree with the Ribovics-Haqparast decision? Haqparast's face was all busted up.

That's what I was referring to. I don't know that you should pause the action at that point. And Brundage wasn't really doing much damage to quite warrant a stoppage at that point. Marquez was blocking the punches with his hands.
That Haqparast decision was the inverse of the Gommis decision. They fought similarly. Guess the 2nd round must've been the decision because I don't see how you can give him the 3rd.

It's becoming a real issue. Either a change in gloves is going to have to be made, or Dana's going to have to petition the commissions to aggressively enforce warnings and point deductions.
