I don't know how reliable this source is but they're claiming Star Trek writer Akiva Goldman is working on a reboot of these three series. Time Tunnel and Voyage were popular for me when I was a kid so I'm interested in how this turns out. I don't really know much about Goldman however

He’s a hack. He wrote the worst Batman movie (Batman & Robin), and more recently has been one of the major creative forces in Star Trek. Notably, he was heavily involved in Picard Season 2 (which was horrible), but had almost nothing to do with Picard Season 3 (by far the best season of any Trek show in years).

Given his involvement, I am not optimistic.

I’m the biggest Irwin Allen fan in the world, but I’d rather that these series stay perfectly preserved in the amber that is MeTV.

The 1st episode of The Time Tunnel for me was the best. As a kid in the 60's watching the premier episode they are driving in the desert in the middle of nowhere. All of a sudden this giant opening in the ground appears and the car drives right in and it closes behind them. I thought damn how did they do that.

That's how it was with Irwin Allen's productions. They'd start off great because he was trying to sell the show to the networks. Once they were up and running, the quality would drop off. Bill Mumy of Lost in Space noted that Allen was great at selling and launching shows, but not the best ongoing producer. Probably why he excelled when he transitioned into the disaster film genre (Poseidon Adventure, The Towering Inferno).

Being a last-year Boomer, I thought I watched every show from the 60's -70's-80's repeatedly.
Hell, I remember as a little kid watching Gilligan's Island in its initial run.
I can't for the life of me remember watching Time Tunnel.
