Bongino said his last show is March 14th.
Seems like it would be sooner? Assuming he has to end his participation to begin FBI work??

I was surprised by that as well. I know the podcast is extremely successful and it’s hard to just quit that cold turkey, but 3 weeks seems like a little much. I assumed he’d start late this week or early next

Mandatory background checks take a while would be my guess

He might have some contractual obligations with streamers or sponsors that require a certain amount of notice of contract termination to avoid contractual or otherwise civil penalties.

He said he had contractual obligations to unwind before he can just leave, and going to the FBI before he does that would be a government ethics violation. He also hasn’t closed the deal for his replacement. That’s also underway.

He also said he was under contract for advertising, and had worked that out to be able to start march 14th

They’re probably sifting through his shows looking for something to use against him right now.
And getting earfuls of how corrupt they are

There is a thing in Radio and Podcasting called "Advertisers"
Advertisers pay money upfront to Advertise on these stations and shows. If Dan were to quit tomorrow and there are outstanding Advertisers who have not hit their monthly quota yet by listener/viewership, then Dan's company would have to pay that money back to the advertisers.
There is also a thing called "Contracts" - If you break a "Contract" then you can be sued for far more than the "Contract"
I sometimes think that some people on this website do not have what's called "Common Sense"
You can't just be involved in a contract with another party and just up and quit before the contract is over.

Common sense would tell you he should have been working on this as soon as Trump won. He was going to get a position somewhere, it was inevitable.
And there are always clauses in contracts to get out of them or account for unforeseen circumstances.
It was just an observation. Calm down Francis.

His podcast is enormous and he's also involved in sponsorship contracts, so I'm guessing he has obligations to fulfill but is stepping aside as quickly as legally possible.
I'm no expert on the matter and the timeline bugs me too, but DB is a sharp dude, and if there's a delay I have to believe it's for a good reason.
