Will The Intimidator be moved to the new Alex Box Stadium?

WOW! Never realized a tribute to one of the greatest accomplishments in college baseball was such a joke or eyesore to so many people.

Yes, the last title was a LONG 8 years ago but does that mean those accomplishments shouldn't be recognized? Guess we should remove the flags from Tiger Stadium showing off the 58 & 03 National Championships, I mean 58? Who even remembers 1958. Most of the fans in the stadium weren't even alive in 58. And the 03 NC...that was almost 6 years ago & another coach,let's pull that old rag down.

Maybe this sign shouldn't be the focal point of the field. Maybe it shouldn't even be called the "Intimidator" but what is wrong with displaying, in grand fashion, a run of national titles that will probably never be matched again. Every team that wins National CHampionships displays that accomplishment for all to see, fans, players, coaches, both home team & visitors. And I don't think that sign puts us in the same catagory as Bama, at least ALL 5 of those NC's are legit. I've been going to baseball games for a long time & I can tell you, most visiting fans I talk to, all say that the "Intimidator" is unbelievable. And what about recruits? Don't you think when they are walked out on the diamond, they don't see that display & think, damn, this is what playing college baseball is about.

I just think that the sign needs to come along to the new stadium. Should it be as big? Should it be the focal point of the outfield? Should it be called the "Intimidator"? Probably not to all of those questions but regardless of who was playing T-ball or who was coaching back then, I see NO shame in saying it LOUD & PROUD. And that fellas, is just my opinion.

I'm not sure why anyone wouldn't want our championship history displayed in the new stadium? Every program, college or pro, in every sport, displays their championship history somewhere inside their stadium. Our championship history just happens to include five titles, so it needs a bigger space than most.

All those that don't want it inside the stadium are just stupid and wrong. It will be in the new stadium ... maybe not the same format as the huge "intimidator sign", but it will be in there, just as all of our SEC titles and CWS appearances will be displayed somewhere in the stadium ... as they should be.

And there's really no argument against it. You win championships, you put them up for all to see, simple as that. It's what you play the games for ... to win championships. And when you do (win championships), you honor them indefinitely. Case closed, end of discussion.

these guys probably think duke and unc need to take down all of their national championship and final four banners

putting up another obnoxious intimidator of something we haven't resembled in quite some time=stupid

the intimidator was nice at the old park but something tells me it would look pretty tacky at the new one.
