Dog age vs Human age

Always heard and thought it was 7:1 ratio.
Just sitting here trying to figure out human years for our 14 year old beagle.
Came across this info that's new to me. Thoughts?

I'm suspect. My 2 year old lab is nowhere near the maturity of a 29 year old human.

I think it’s a weird way of wording it.
Why did it go from each year of a dogs year = so many human years to…
each human year = so many dog years.
There’s no set amount of human years for dog years in the first 2 provided examples. You can only average.
Then they hit me with each human year is 4 or 5 years.
Is the dog getting older faster or slower?

That’s concerning, I’ve got a lab just over a year old. Very smart/sweet dog and I love him to death but most of the time he’s like a 4 year old kid who can’t control his urges to do shite that he knows he’s not supposed to be doing

Multiple the dogs age by 6 to get human equivalent

Eli is 85 lbs so at 6 1/2 he’s in his late 40s. That makes me sad.
