be listened to with the level of esteem that it is:

Defiance: 53% Rotten

Benjamin Button: 73% Fresh

My Bloody Valentine 3D: 73% Fresh

Riiiiiight

The benefit of basing a poll on a relatively large sample size is gone when you mostly poll idiots.

I basically just check to make sure a movie isn't under 30%

Bloody Valentine was higher than that the other day, if I am not mistaken?

Hell, I don't even do that anymore.

That criteria would exclude Eagleeye for example, and while it wasn't a masterpiece, it was an okay popcorn flick that doesn't warrant that kind of a trashy score.

IMDB is really no different. Thats why I generally ignore others reviews, watch the trailer and decide for myself if I want to watch the entire movie... It works well for me.

I usually just read the critics that I trust. Read two or three of them only. A lot of the critics are douches on RT.

Four Christmases got a 24% but I saw it anyway & thought it was really cute. Not cinematic perfection but it wasn't as terrible as the ratings would suggest.

RT is much better for the columns and features...the reviews don't mean much
