The TD search function may be failing me, but I can not find anything on our boy here. Anyone know him? Is he making up bleeding gold and purple???
Guy has some songs that are bangers imo (my taste is awful)
Whiskey Whiskey LINK

Breakin Down is my favorite of his.

He’s getting hammered for the “oil money” video then came back with a fake im country song and got slammed even harder for it. He/they are spending an absurd amount of money marketing that song akin to “excuse me you look like you love me” and Kamala Harris campaign

These songs are terrible, but out of curiosity I checked who he’s been writing with and they are superstar writers, beau Bailey, Jakob Hackworth, David Lee Murphy, Jessi Alexander. Those are who’s who songwriters in Nashville rn. He’s hooked up with someone getting him access and that Morgan wallen treatment.

Yes, I randomly stumbled upon him last year and the only song he really had was ‘Bayou Boy’.
Since then he’s absolutely blown up. My gf did tell me that the ‘Oil Money’ song has been EVERYWHERE on TikTok, which I do not and have never had, so perhaps that’s where a good bit of his audience is coming from.

He's an LSU grad from a long-line of LSU grads.
I'm not a country fan, so I'm not a good judge. Bayou Boy seems ok, but Oil Money is horrible and not remotely a country song.
Why would a new country artist trying to make a name for himself in Nashville make a hip-hop song?

Morgan wallen effect.
Same as tucker wetmore and others. They all want to be Morgan so bad they are willing to follow the formula

I know him and his family. They are good people. He has been singing and writing songs since he was a little kid and is talented. Unfortunately he uses that talent to make that bro country hick hop bullshite people try to pass off as music.

Barham has more monthly listeners (1.9m) on Spotify than Tedeschi Trucks (698k), about the same as Billy String (2m) which is crazy, not much less than Sturgill Simpson (2.3m).
