What's your opinion on this group? It seems that the Metal Purists typically shrug them off.

Personally? I think they're talented. They have some nice riffs and guitar solos.

Their first album "The Poison" has a bunch of good tracks

I like them. I know it’s not fashionable, but I’ve been a fan of the screamo stuff for a long time now. I love the fusion of hardcore and modern metal, for the same reason that retrowave is my favorite genre.

BFMV is awesome. They have some of the coolest melodic metal riffs out there. The 2 guitars complement each other perfectly. Lead singer plays the rhythm and heavier/lower end while the lead guitar plays the high gain/treble stuff. It sounds so good.

4 Words to Choke Upon and Her Voice Resides are some of my favorites.

Of the newer stuff, No More Tears to Cry is really good too.

In a weird way, while they were very much on brand for the time they really started making it big, I think they were ahead of their time

If they came out in the last 2-3 years with Tears Don't Fall, I think they'd be huge as their style of metalcore-ish is very popular right now.

I really enjoy their Scream Aim Fire and Fever albums

Waking the Demon is one of my favorite 00s metalcore era songs - period

I'm not as familiar with the Poison, but will be catching them and Trivium on their tour.

One of my favorite bands from that era. They are great live as well, they have enough albums with good music that the set list is always solid.

Taking my 8 year old to see them on this tour. They are edgy...but not too offensive, and their crowds are not crazy!

Now you have me kind of wanting to take a road trip to catch them live.
