Just think if he could of played 4 years at the 3. He looks great there and is starting to get us ten a game. Great job so far this season after the first few games Garrett.

14 pts., 9 assists, 7 boards and his usual stellar defense.
And there are still folks that will tell you he's not an SEC player.

I was SCREAMING this during his entire career under Brady. Playing a guy like him out of position probably cost LSU 5 wins per year. Then again, it all goes back to Brady's complete and utter failure at developing a point guard.
Look at how improved Spencer looks under the new coaching staff.

Temple should have played the 3 long ago. But then again who would of played point?? We haven't had a true point guard in a long time, but Spencer is improving with every game. I like the lineup with Spencer, Thorton, Temple, Tas, and Johnson. Big win today, let's put some solid SEC wins together now.

are you talking about the coach that led LSU to a final four and multiple conference championships? Please list all of Trent's accomplishments that qualify him to be listed in the same breath as championship winning coach John Brady....

correction not Brady's complete and utter failure at DEVELOPING a PG its the fact he did not recruit them. We really never had a true PG under Brady.

he is a defensive beast that plays with the heart of a "Temple"

SEC blows this year.

Can't entirely disagree, but he was an SEC player when it didn't blow IMHO.

about 50% of the time
he's playing well this year, and i dont really think it has to do too much with his position change.

When you're one of the best players in the country on one side of the court that can't be dismissed.
He is and has been an SEC player since he's been here.
Ask Chris Lofton and JJ Redick if they know who GT is. I garauntee you they do, especially Lofton who GT shut down 4 times. No one else can make that claim.

4 times?
twice maybe

Im not dismissing it, thats why i said 50% of the time he has been an SEC player in the past.

Nope - 4 times...3 regular season games and SEC tourney Lofton was well below standard.

Splitting hairs. If he scored 25 a game and didn't play a lick of D most would have no problem saying he was an SEC player without qualifying it.
Plus he contributes on offense more than many would give him credit for. Leads the team in assists this year and I remember him scoring 20 against Texas and 16 against Florida in 2007 to name just a couple of games.

last year:
( 6-12) 15 pts 1 turnover
2 years ago:
game 1: 21 mins(bum ankle) 8pts
game 2: 21 pts on 8-16 1 turnover
3 years ago:
32 mins, 2 pts on 1-7
so where are the other 2 games he shut him down?

15 points for Lofton is well below par. Ball denial my friend. He earned all 15.
I don't remember 21 pts. but I'll take your word for it. Tennessee did not play very well that game, we very nearly beat them in Knoxville and the stats may say 8-16 and 21 but Lofton didn't shine that game...not like he did against nearly every other team they played that year.
