Dude dealt with getting benched at Bama, and was pulled for Wentz before Sirianni took over in Philly. Lots of guys would have packed it in either time and sort of fallen into a backup role.

It’s a lesson for all of the kids out there, as well as the travel ball and AAU dads. Patience. Persistence. Perseverance.

He went to Alabama so that makes him a flaming homo.

Kind of works that way in regular life too.

People bitch about every little thing in the world when all you have to do is just play the next play the best you can.

You may not get anywhere and may not amount to anything but why worry and overthink it?

Great way to approach life. I say this for Hurts, and I am a Cowboys fan and LSU alum. He also seems to have a humble approach, and uses that chip on his shoulder the right way.

And remember Hurts wasn't a popular draft pick of the Eagles. He was a 2nd round pick. Eagles had Carson Wentz. Head Coach Pederson wanted to use him like the Saints were using Taysom Hill.

Hurts is a winner. Steps in and performs when called on. After his first 5 years he has the same Super Bowl appearances and Wins as Mahomes after his first 5 years.

Lets also keep in mind he has had the best OL in football most of those years and possibly one of the best ever before Kelce retired.

He has a stacked defense to fall back on. A Heisman winning WR is his NUMBER 2

And this year he got Saquon.

Give credit where its due, there is definitely a difference when its him vs Kenny Pickett out there. But he has easily the best situation in football.

First time I ever saw him play was when USC opened up vs. Bama in Arlington TX, and the Tide rolled out this statue of a QB who didn't play very well, and I'm thinking "We've got a pretty good shot at a W here". Hurts came in and took over and absolutely shredded us. At the time it sucked to see that in person, but I don't feel quite so bad about it now. He's a good one.

Bro came into an incredibly loud Tiger Stadium in 2016 as a true freshman and did enough to win the game. Always thought he could be a special player after that performance
