CKM mentioned during presser after game this is the first time in the history of the program that LSU has beaten TN twice.

Kudos!

I don't know the tiebreaker for a potential 3 way tiebreaker in the SEC, but that can't hurt LSU. Tennessee is the best SEC team outside of SC, Texas, LSU, and I'm not sure about Kentucky.

Kudos

Whatever happened to those? Pretty good candy bar back in the day.

And Congrats to the Lady Tigers

LSU has to play UT in Austin. No tie-breaker needed

Tenn is 9th in the conference at 4-6. The 6 losses are by like 20 pts total though.

Kentucky is legit, and we have to play them at their place. We also have to play in Austin and at Alabama, a team that will be tough to beat on their court. Those 3, plus a home game against Ole Miss make for a rugged close to the regular season.

It is unlikely that LSU will end up at 15-1/30-1 after the regular season. Playing Quad 1 games at Texas, at Bama, and at UK plus OMiss at home will take its toll.

My guess is we end up 14-2/29-2 which will be amazing. That would mean we were 7-2 or 8-2 versus Quad 1 teams. If we can win another game in the SEC Ty vs Texas or Tenn/UK/Ala, we could end up with 9 Quad 1 wins. Maybe we could get ourselves to a #2 seed in the NCAA. We'd hafta win out and win the SEC Ty to get a #1 seed, IMO.

Texas has 2 losses to Notre Dame and South Carolina, but it doesn't matter. It's all about how you do in the tournament. LSU will be fine with another loss, but Moody Center will be sold out and rockin'. It sucks that LSU and Texas both have shitty MBB teams.

But the fact that Texas beat South Carolina and ended their 57-game win streak in the SEC is wild. It made the game that much more exciting and opened up the conference.

Up there with “Can you believe a Black Girl could become an Olympic Gold Gymnast?”

Yes.

It happened twice, in fact.

It’s a good sign for the program.

That’s not the objective. Beating SC is the new goalpost.

The end of the SC game was hard to watch.

Down 2, the SC guard drove to the basket but then shot it *over the backboard* and I don't mean by just a little.

Ball game.
