The most frustrating thing about this is there is practically zero communication from Sony. Assholes.

The lack of transparency for this long makes me think they were hacked and our info is stolen. Hope not but that's my feeling.
Edit: spoke with a friend of mine who works for PlayStation and he said it's definitely not a hack. Someone messed up their server configurations (AWS). Internal issue.

There’s no fricking way fixing an issue like this should take this long.

So PlayStation doesn’t have a Prod rollback plan? Seems like a pretty basic strategy when you are providing a service for 100 million + people across the world.

It figures, I tried to play GT7 and it doesn’t even work with a disc.
Strangely enough, I pulled out the disc from the kingdom come 2 collectors edition and it works….so I guess now is as good a time as any to give it a try.

Sony has a major hacking breach every three years or so. You can almost set your clock to it.

It looks like it’s back up in some fashion. I can download games now but I’m still having issues trying to play some games.

This is what would kill me. I sometimes go weeks without gaming, but when I’ve mentally carved out a gaming weekend, I’m going to be some kind of fricking unhappy if an utterly unnecessary road block gets put up to block that.

Ok, I can confirm for myself. Back on fc25.

Yeah you'd think. Smells like incompetence. Here's his text
"Definitely not a hack. Someone fricked up a bunch of configurations with our AWS EC2 instances. Im really surprised they haven’t figured it out yet."
