I am looking at remodeling and adding more space/functionality to the master bath and kitchen. Unfortunately, the brick fireplace limits the ability to open up the home, but I do not want to demo it. Any craftsmen, architects, or designers out there who can help out?

not sure exactly what help you are looking for but the easiest way to expand the kitchen is to ditch the dining room (which is wasted space anyway in my opinion)

Really just need some idea for laying it out differently. I have been playing with absorbing the dining room but then the transition to the front living room is weird.

well…if you can’t demo the fireplace then going plan west is out. You can’t go plan east unless you do an addition. You can’t go plan north unless you demo the laundry room. That leaves plan south, into the dining room

let me know where to send the bill

That is a small master bath, how old is this house?

Do you really need a formal living room and a family room? If not, absorb the dining room into your kitchen (it's a small dining room anyway) and then convert the Living Room into a formal dining room and the family can all hang out in your nice Family Room.

Are you adding on in order to do the master bath remodel??

I'd suggest, that unless you plan on having that as your forever home... always keep resale in mind. Our house may not have enough everything someone wants, but when we changed things in 2010, we always looked at it from a resale POV. The master suite shouldn't get any complaints... in regards to size.
