I have one last vacuum pack of pork shoulder I smoked (god knows how long ago, but I'm sure it's fine?) that I'm thinking I'll defrost and make poboys from.

If I didn't have that, I have really been craving a sausage poboy.. hot patty style or split link style. Just stocked up on some from Robert (brisket/cheddar or pork/pepper jack) that would make a killer split link poboy. Can even cut them into poboy sliders for hosting friends.

Just go to Costco, they'll tell you what to buy.

Do you not have a woman telling you what she wants, or are you just trying to anticipate her telling you what she wants until 9PM Saturday night?

Deviled Eggs, with a side of Gas-X next to the plate. This recipe from a Marlboro cookbook (no idea how I got it, I don't smoke) was always a winner:

Grilling a pile of wings. Buffalo and garlic parm. Not sure about sides yet.

Oh, and get toothpicks for the "big ole mess" recipe. People will stand there and eat it right out of the foil bag, women included. Make individual bags, not one big tray of it if multiplying the recipe, so you can just throw an additional bag on the grill and make sure it's hot when you start to run out.

I took a prime brisket out the freezer to thaw and will be smoking that thing on Sunday. I'll get up a 0' Dark Thirty to get the coals going and then toss it on the smoker to work the magic.

I'll probably do some type potato dish with it-------maybe something simple like potato salad or a bit more complex like potatoes au gratin that is always a big hit. I'll also make some herb infused pull-apart bread to go with it.

Then settle in for the game and hope it's a good one, even though I have no love for either team.
