frick It. My offseason wishlist rant

Here's what I would do if I was Gayle. Downvote away.
1. Fire Mickey
- His draft picks, free agent signings, salary cap management are heinous. His fixation on Derek carr is egregious. He was only competent under Payton. He should consider himself lucky he was kept along for the ride under Brees/Payton
2. Ownership Options
- Similar to Tom Brady with the Raiders, I would look at potentially opening up ownership shares to prominent former football starts
- Brees seems obvious but, I would seriously look at the Mannings with Peyton and Eli and their history with the city. They could provide valuable experience and consultation with football operations.
3. Keep Rizzi at HC for one year
- I don't care if you put Belichik, Vince Lombardi or Andy Reid at HC this year. They are going to SUCK (thanks Mickey)
- Embrace it. Save money on the Rizzi hire for the following season when the salary cap opens up and you have draft picks
- Tank for the #1 pick in 2025. One year of pain can turnaround a franchise. Putting lipstick on this pig will only prolong the suffering of this organization. Throw away the 2025 season for a franchise QB. You will thank yourself in 2-4 years.
4. 2024 Draft.
- 1st Round should be best player available. I would target high character players with safe floors and high ceilings. If Genty is there, I take him with plans to offload Kamara who is up there in age and Miller who has been a Loomis bust
- 2-3 Rds: Get line help. I don't care what side of the ball. I would focus on O-line but, there's so many options this year from rounds 2-5, that you just stack up. I really like Deone Walker at NT, Tate Ratledge at RG, Grey Zambel LG, C, RG, Emery Jones (RG, RT).
- I think the WR class is pretty weak at the top but, have valuable slot options in the middle rounds: Tez Johnson, Xavier Restrepo, Jack Bech who would be valuable for a rookie QB.
5. QB
- Cut Carr. I want to embrace the tank. Stop with these bullshite 9-8 seasons. Start Rattler to see what he has, or go to a backup for one year. You need to get rid of his contract to open up money in the future
6. Tank for Arch
- I know his high school tape has been a source of debate on TD but, I love the pedigree, moxy and the limited tape I saw with him in '24. Is he going to light it up in 2025? Who knows. But I think the moment will not be too big for him in the NFL and he's got a great support system in place with his family
- Having Peyton and Eli in hypothetical ownership positions will make it more appealing for a landing destination where in the past they have been picky with draft spots (ie San Diego holdout)
- It would also be VERY cool having Archie's grandson lead the team into the future with a young O-line, tons of cap space and tradable assets
7. New HC
- I think it has to be someone offensive minded. I like the idea of Kellen Moore and Joe Brady. However, I do think people are underestimating Todd Monken. He's a proven playcaller. He does a fantastic job at identifying personel strengths on offense and commits to running the football.
- He won a national championship with Georgia and made their offense a strength with Stetson Bennett at QB
- He may have coached Lamar Jackson to back-to-back MVP seasons
- I think he's very solid as a coach and would be a strong voice in the locke room. He would also have more experience than some of the first time HC candidates.
8. DC
- Dave Aranda at DC. Like Monken, I'm sure it will cause some debate. I know there's some bias as an LSU fan. There are also plenty of options in the league that willl do. But I do think he is a great defensive mind fit for the NFL. Similar to Jeff Hafley, he may want a change of scenery with the changing (and challenging) landscape of college football.
- With an offensive minded HC, you have to make sure you set up your team and young QB for success in the future and actively invest in it for the future with draft and FA signings.
I have a lot more to say with regards to the cap and free agency but, those are the main points.
TLDR; Tell Mickey to frick off. Keep Rizzi for a one year period, tank for Arch in 2025, draft Jeanty and Line depth in 2024. Get Gayle some help in the front office.

How does anyone , besides their accountant, actually know how much money the Mannings have? I've heard this crap over and over.

Most of your ideas are terrible.
You undoubtedly have a promising future with the Carolina Panthers
