looking for a beach getaway for spring break and considering Akumal or Puerto Aventura near Tulum. Would be two adults and two kids ages 11 and 14. prefer to stay in condo/house with kitchen and more privacy than a massive resort. Like to chill on the beach, snorkel, fish, probably go see the ruins. Any thoughts on these areas ? or Tulum?

We stayed at Secrets Akumal a few years ago (adults only) but really enjoyed Akumal in general. Has a great beach that you can swim with turtles and pretty good snorkeling right off the beach which would be perfect for kids. The town is small but pretty cool with some good restaurants.

I have a large home in tulum with three private pools. Happy to let you stay there if you want. I prefer staying in tulum and just driving to those cities FYI
