It’s scary how similar Burrow and JD5’s situations have been

Daniels was breaking records and the best qb in college, but our defense sucked. It made LSU lose games when we should have been competing in the playoffs.
Burrow is the top passer in the NFL yet has no defense. Even though he was top passer, the bengals missed out on the playoffs because of the awful defense.
If either one had a halfway decent defense, they would have pushed for championships (example Daniel’s with the Skins this year and Burrows Super Bowl year)

It’s middle of the pack. Bengals are bottom of the pack. For the vast majority of the season the Bengals were 30th or worst. Those 10 spots make a significant difference in the W/L column.

Commanders D is light years better than Bengals this year. They have played well in the second half of their last 7 games.

It's like Joe and JD flipped in circumstances from college to the NFL. Now Joe gets to feel what having a horrid defense feels like, and JD gets to feel what it's like to have a competent defense lol

The one big difference, and it's already paying dividends in Jayden's NFL career, is that the league will make tons of money with success of the DC market team. Cincinnati offers the league pretty much zero financial upside. That's why the league office pushed the Rams over the Bengals late in the Super Bowl. That's why Jayden will get pushed over the top of the Eagles next week too. Both are top tier QBs and team leaders but unfortunately for Joe, the money can't help him, only hurt him.
