On sale for $15. Haven't had time to dig into it yet but seems pretty fun and the reviews are overwhelmingly positive.
Starting out with a coach dynasty (can choose that or control 1 team)
Seems like it has some nice RPG aspects built in the preseason training stuff.

I saw that before and thought about buying it. I have "Bowl Bound" which is similiar. But it doesn't have any game views. I've tried similar play-by-play types and it's just not the same.
Coaches/Dynasty is my favorite way to play on older games like 14. But it has the visual game experience.
The reviews make it tempting though.

I bought it a while back and played quite a bit. It's definitely fun if you like the coach simulation stuff. Recruiting/roster management is obviously the biggest piece of it. The added NIL stuff is fun too. I pretty much spend as little as possible during recruiting and save it to retain my players trying to hit the portal haha. Let me know if you have any questions.

Yep, you can you make promises or use NIL money to get players to stay. It's a pretty simple system. Basically, at the end of the season it lists all the players either heading to the draft early or transferring. You can let them leave, make a promise to keep them, or pay a certain amount of NIL money.

Pretty good so far. Enjoying it.
Destroyed Georgia Tech in first game. Guess I’m better than BK at openers. Took over more on defensive play calling than offensive. Though the OC really liked running on second down almost no matter what happened on first.
Couple of thoughts -
Like the ability to hone in on specific players improving. Had a great group of WR, OL and DBs to start so was able to improve my young qb with high potential while also working on some young backups with good potential, all while still getting some starters better.
Convinced a big booster that i didnt need to beat bama, could just be any one of three teams to get his big donation.
Recruiting is detailed but not sure I see any changes based upon who I put time into yet. Maybe as the season goes along. Will have to see on NIL and how transfers work too.

Same. I started as LA tech and had a redshirt freshman qb that I was able to get a breakthrough spring training on and he is carrying my team.
Still a 2-3 start but lost to an undefeated Boise state on the lady play of the game.
In game I really like the audible system. 5 audibles per half so u have to save them for the right moments

Didnt even notice audible ability in the one game I played. Will have to look for that next.

U have to hit line up next to Sim play and it will show u the defensive set and sometimes if they are running the same play your coach recognizes it will say "showing man" or "showing zone" and u can audible based off that. I actually think it's 5 audibles per quarter instead of 5 per half because I used some in 3rd quarter last game and when 4th quarter drive came up I still had 5. They are crucial on 4th downs especially. Haven't used em much on defense but gonna test how that works next game and if it uses up the same or they count offense vs defense separately

I wish it had a more simplified/shorter recruiting option like the mobile version Football Coach II from the same developer. The drawn out recrutiing process is grueling, but the only other option is auto-recruiting, which totally takes out one aspect of the game.
Still was a good buy when it was in pre-release.

I got this last weekend (thanks to this thread) and have played this quite a bit. The in depth recruiting is my favorite part. It doesn't quite scratch the itch to play NCAA 25 but I've really enjoyed this game.

I like to take over the defensive play calling especially at times. Third downs in both sides of the ball or towards the end of half/game.
I don’t know if the game factors in learning or if it’s as simple as the “focus” bonus was different the second time but I played mizzou twice - once in regular season and once in sec champ game. I play aggressive man. First time I shut them out with lots of blitzing with man behind and destroyed them 45-0. Second time they scored 17 points in the first quarter and I was running the same defensive plays. Switched up to conservative man with safeties deep and zone blitz and held them to 10 the rest of the way.
I enjoy the recruiting and transfer but if I had a complaint it was the difficulty building depth at QB unless you want to pay a backup 4-6 million from NIL.

I pulled the trigger on this last night. I am already liking it more than Bowl Bound. I immediately downloaded the workshop stuff with real teams etc.
I started with coaching mode, and like the old NCAA games I picked a really bad school to start at, in this case, Missouri St.
The recruiting reminds me a good bit of the old NCAA games, but with more options and improved. I like that so far. I'm not really having trouble finding the kind of players I want for my schemes.
I do miss watching the plays over the play by play. But I'm not buying a console just for NCAA 25. So this is thus far doing really well.
I like all the options. I am giving the current season a try with today's rules, but I'm very tempted to turn off NIL and load up some 2010 conferences/teams and a BCS format.
