Went to Arabesque in Sept/October, thought it was pretty good, and sad to see it go.

Yep. I have been amazed at how strong the industry has remained and how many new places have opened. Late this spring and through the summer the poop is going to finally hit the fan and the weak restaurants are going to go under.

How disappointing. I just ate at Lola this past weekend and some fellow diners were raving about it so it was on my list of places to try. Also I just got my New Orleans Zagat guide in the mail yesterday and it got great ratings.

It quickly jumped on my list of favorite places...which is why my parents got me a GC there.

Story says they are still open for catering (Arabesque), so they might be just trying to "weather the storm." Storm might last awhile though.
