Is Bill Lawerence considered one of the best TV producers/creators the last 30 years? He has been one of my favorites.
Spin City 1996-2002
Scrubs 2001-2008
Cougar Town 2009-2012
Bad Monkey 2024-
Shrinking 2023-
Ted Lasso 2020-2023
Boy Meets World - He wrote for them.
He's one of the best if not the best at mixing comedy with emotional scenes.

I am really enjoying it. It has the Bill Lawerence comedy/drama emotional stuff that really pulls you in. Can't wait to start season 2.
The next door neighbor is the MVP

Seems to be a little mixed on whether people like season one or two better. I think I liked two better. But one thing is for certain, in season two Derek is everyone's favorite character. He is incredible.

no way Derek gets better in season 2
Bill's wife Christa Miller plays the same character in Scrubs, Cougar Town and Shrinking but it doesn't matter because she does it so well.
It's so strange that my last 2 favorite tv shows had something in common. Harrison Ford was in both of them and Ford has never done TV in his 57 year career before that.

Y'all are bringing it today. I am actually doing a Shrinking rewatch right now.
Eat a dick Pam. Derek is absolutely the best.
In reference to Bill Lawrence, you aren't wrong. I never watched Cougar Town, but I watched and have re-watched the rest that he created. If it's something you'd enjoy, I recommend searching for panels with him on You/tube. Seems really smart, but cool and would be fun to work with. I think maybe the Paley Center ones? It's been a while.
Also, for Shrinking, I knew Bill and Segal were creators/show-runners, but I didn't realize until recently that Roy Kent (Brett Goldstein) is actually co-creator/show-runner as well. At first, I think I was like everyone and said oh look, it's Roy Kent, but he actually helped develop the show.
