Priorities!

Your state is on fire jerkoff.

California Democrats have authorized $50 million in state funding as part of an overall drive to protect residents from what lawmakers believe to be “inhumane” threats posed by President-elect Trump’s forthcoming administration.

State Sen. Budget Committee Chair Scott Wiener (D) announced on Monday that he would amend legislation to provide $25 million to support legal aid services for California residents at risk of deportation. The bill is the result of a special legislative session that began last month, amid Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D) efforts to “Trump-proof” the Golden State from potential federal interference.

“California faces two massive challenges,” Wiener said in a statement, noting that the first revolves around rebuilding the lives of tens of thousands of residents in the wake of “horrific destructive wildfires in Los Angeles.”

The second challenge, he explained, is “an incoming federal administration that has vowed to make it harder for Los Angeles to recover, by withholding disaster relief and deporting immigrant Angelenos who have been impacted by the fires and who are actively helping their neighbors.”

If this is what they want to spend their money on, have at it. The state is already a complete hellhole. It's only a matter of time before literally every productive citizen they have gets the frick out of there.

It was probably $50M unspent on water distribution and fire fighting equipment.

Trump should not withhold the money, but I do agree with stipulations being made before its release. Like requiring forestry mulching or controlled burns and building more holding tanks. If they dont want to use the existing rivers due to some possible damage to a fish, slug, or whatever... they can build large pipelines or aqueducts to bring the needed water to areas where there arent any fish, slug's or whatever.

Things need to be done to keep this from happening again.

And regarding the deportations... I only want anyone here illegally deported.

Why doesn't every state just send their Homeless and Illegal Immigrants to California? They seem to want them badly. Load them all up and ship them to California and keep them there.

Seems California wants them more than most. I'd round them up and send them there. Tell them they can ask California Government for help.

So California has evolved from "illegal aliens" to "undocumented immigrants" to now, "residents". This is what happens when you allow the camel's nose under the tent.

I remember Hawaii pumping all the homeless out to LA when Obama was coming back for vacation, they didn't want to motorcade or press to see piles of homeless over running a park in Honolulu.

They were paying them and paying for one way tickets.
