I'd first ask her why she interested in crypto, then explain it's a very speculative investment.

I would talk to her about proper retirement savings including 401ks, IRAs and sticking to low cost broad index funds as your primary investment tools.

Whether or not they admit it, I’m Pretty sure the answer is that they heard it was quick way to make money and don’t want to miss out.

And it’s not an investment. It’s a trade

No coin Boomer mentality.

SlidellCajun waiting for $10k BTC so he can make his “safe trade”:

BTC is not a trade or quick riches (anymore) If she’s diversified in other investments, open minded, have conviction and willing to diamond hand for the long term, it will pay off. Inexperience short term crypto traders will get rekt or left behind.

BTC has certainly been a great speculative investment for me since 2017. I was dumb enough to hodl through every crash and it paid off. Now I dabble in crap coins for fun.

BTC is going to easily hit 1m within the next 10 yrs with or without her. GL

Guessing you’ve been a buyer during the most recent decline?

How much you got?

If you are asking these questions start with either a Coinbase account and/or buy one of the ETFs that launched last year. You can get more advanced after you learn these things.

Utility crypto is a good place to start since there are actual uses for this in a new digital financial system going forward. There are a few good investments still available: XRP, XLM, XDC, HBAR, etc.

Meme coins are straight up gambling and “the house” pulls the rug out most of the time.

BTC is a store of value (like gold). Good growth potential but not explosive.

Best advice is start searching tutorials (not clickbait) on YouTube.

Also, if you do end up holding a decent amount (to you) of crypto, take it out of the exchanges and into a cold wallet.

*not financial advice, do your own research*
