I was hoping they would do one in N.O.

From the looks of it, Carla might be OK...she made a pie crust again.

I just wish she would go. Looks like Arian might be headed out the door though.

it's this week. I know they were closing commander's one day this week to use the place for the show. It may have been today, or maybe it's tomorrow. I forgot.

Also, last night they filmed an event at the NO Museum of Modern Art. For some reason they had the chefs make gumbo, oysters, etc. I've been told by multiple people that the food wasn't too good, oysters were greasy when they tried to fry some,etc....but why in the hell make them try and make such regional foods that they have probably never prepared? don't get it.

And no, i'm not mentioning anything about what chef's were still cooking, there to cook, etc.

What's wrong with Carla? I typically like her. I don't particularly care for Leah. She's done nothing noteworthy at all.

I was really sad to see Arian go and didn't think she deserved the boot. She has consistently been in the top three (much to Jamie's dismay). I don't think one bad move should get someone outted that has been a consistent front runner. Leah has gone under the rader and has been mediocre consistently. She deserved to go.

I thought this year was Top Chef New York? Why would they be going down to New Orleans? Are they filming next season or still filming for this one?

Arian was kind of annoying, but yes it does bug me that this show kicks off those that mess up in one challenge rather than looking at a chef for their entire stint there.

Last night's show was poorly edited IMO.

But Arian just can't do some very, very basic and fundamental kitchen tasks. Meat fab and tying is something you have to be able to do. What she did to that great leg of lamb was embarrassing...maybe the worst thing i have ever seen on that show. She's also had a few other huge mistakes, like overly sweetining some stuff.

Yes, her simple stuff can be good, but she is really limited in her ability to be creative. She might also be better served entering one of those recipe challenges where regular joes compete.

It was pretty chickenshit of those other two, to just sit back and basically do nothing, though.

I'm convinced the other chick on her team would have done an equally awful job.

oh yeah, they were complete pussies and i don't trust either of them. But, i think they have more to bring to the table from a more well rounded cooking standpoint.

Judging on character, the jersey chick stays and mopey sad bitch on her team goes home....but it's not a contest about character, it's about skill and knowledge.
