According to Grok, he was.

quote:

Barkevious Mingo was indeed cleared of the charges related to indecency with a child-sexual contact. A Texas grand jury decided there was not sufficient evidence to prosecute Mingo, leading to the case being dismissed. This decision was made after Mingo's attorney, Chris Lewis, stated that Mingo took a voluntary polygraph exam which suggested he was telling the truth.

Mingo is the son of Hugh Mingo and Barbara Johnson. His unusual first name was created by his mother, adding the first three letters of her first name to a name she liked, Kevious.[74]

On July 7, 2021, Mingo was arrested in Arlington, Texas, on a second-degree felony charge of indecency and sexual contact with a minor. He was later released the following day on $25,000 bond.[75] The arrest was related to an incident alleged to have occurred in July 2019 involving the teenage friend of a family member.[76] The charges were dismissed on December 17, 2021.[77]

That means not enough evidence to convict, not that it didn’t happen…

Not enough evidence to support probable cause for the offense (a very low burden) and he passed a polygraph. What exactly are you looking for here? An admission from the “victim” he was lying?

He’s a good guy. I’ve known him for 20 years. Innocen until proven guilty.

Mingo would not be the first pro athlete whose reputation was ruined by a money grabber, if that’s happened.
His willingness to take a polygraph right away tells me he had nothing to hide.

Why wouldn’t he have the presumption of innocence?

I'm hoping he is innocent, just pointing out that by not prosecuting...yet...they still reserve the right to bring charges if they find enough evidence to do so

The fact that they couldn't get a grand jury to convict says alot. There is no defense, only "evidence" presented.
It's a pretty low bar to miss on.

Barkevious and Sonic Sam on the edges in 2010 and 2011 with Bennie Logan and Michael Brockers in the middle.
