They g/f has to coach in a volleyball tournament in Gulf Shores all of Valentine's Day weekend...i'm contemplating on driving up there to take her out and spend the night with her that Saturday so...my question is this...is there a decent, "nice" place to eat that I could take her to?

Thanks in advance...

The beach club has a very nice place...it's actually 10-15 minutes down a road off the main gulf shores road...you can check out their winter menu online at their website..i have not had dinner there but have had a few lunches there wich were good.

Tequila Bay in Ft Morgan has great food.

"Classy" is not a word that describes any part of it, though.

the beach club rest. and bar is pretty and has dinning outside, if it;s not cold..insides nice and decorated to feel like a country club, that said it's not anyone can eat there...had great grilled mahi there..in my bathing suit! this was lunch...i think dinner would be dressy casual...you know it's the beach!

There's a Louisiana Lagniappe in Orange Beach...it's good food and a nice place, but not sure if you are looking for more formal...

yea if your willing to drive into orange beach i LOVE Cafe Grazie, same owners as Louisiana Lagniappe. their grouper piccata is wonderful. I've had another grou dish there too wich was good too.

don't

No, there really isn't anything "nice" in Gulf Shores. Drive to Destin and go to the new Commander's Palace.

I can second Cafe Grazie. Pretty nice Italian place.
The Voyager place at Perdido Beach resorts seems nice
I have attached the link to their menu. LINK

What about the steamer place--the small one (not the one by the beach) on the main road coming in--across from the waterpark. It is gritty, but not bad.

My Picks

Ginny Lane Bar and Grill at The Wharf, Calypso Joe's Caribbean Grill, Gulf Island Grill (doesn't look great from outside but the food is good), Gulf shores Steamer, Mangos on the Island, Villaggio Grille at The Wharf,
Voyagers

Not more than 15 minutes depending on where you are in Gulf Shores.
