I used to run Tactacams, the battery life sucked to just be honest. I tried the older solar panels and lithium batteries. Still didn’t make a difference. My cameras are on bait piles and getting lots of pics.
They tout the new ones are supposed to be a lot better on battery life. What’s your real world experiences?
I switched to Wise eye and although battery life is a little better it’s still not great.

Solar panel with lithium battery pack and they run all year long.

Are you using the new panels and new lithium packs or the old versions?

I think the SK version had the solar panel on both those shite out on me.

If you have any camera over a feeder and set to send instantly then the regular batteries aren’t gonna last a week. Solar panels are great if you get direct sun, otherwise look into making battery boxes out of feeder batteries with herd360 cables.

Only problem with the battery boxes are bears. I tried them last year and the bears destroy them

I have 3.0s with the lithium battery packs and they’ve been out all season on a single charge with still 30% battery showing in the app. Change the settings for the camera to check for settings changes only daily. If you have it on instant, it drains the battery quicker. Photos still send instantly, just the camera checking for settings changes is once daily
ETA: X 3.0’s….not the Pro version

I have two Pro 3.0 I purchased in October that are on feeders, one camera has 9,000 pictures and the other has about 4,000 all taken on the solar panel power. I have only adjusted the delay between photos and never adjusted the upload (they instantly upload). They do not have the lipo battery packs.
So good so far, hope I don't jinx myself.

Not directed at you Rize but clearing up some stuff I see floating around:
The lithium packs are not significantly higher capacity than 12 AAs, they’re just rechargeable. The big change they made with the new lithium packs is now the solar panel can actually charge it, where before if you had any external power source plugged in then then AA tray or lithium pack was just a backup.

I have three WiseEye cameras that I use. I wire them to a 12 V battery that is in an ammo box usually last about four months more or less.
Have called customer service at wise eye a couple of times. They have great customer support.

I have one in an area where the solar panel is not very effective because of the canopy.
I know you asked a question that I am not directly answering. But like others I thought I would give a tip for extending the life of the camera you have.
I took a 12v battery, stuck it inside of a plastic ammo can that can keep moisture out for the most part.
Bought these off of amazon --> Trail Cam power cord.
I keep the ammo box sitting on a log by cam. I don't have a problem with bears at this particular spot. Ran like a champ until the SD card filled up 2 days ago which I am going to take care of today.
It's a reveal gen x 2.

I actually made a bunch of these this year. I bought a bunch 12 volt lithium battery and solar panels on Temu and put the batteries in small plastic ammo
boxes and then put 5200 in the hole etc.
The guys on tactacam Facebook suggested this. I also bought tacticam shite and a bunch of 12 cold lithium chargers with solar panels when they went on sale for 49 bucks at sportsman outdoors. I am putting the rest of my cameras out next week, our rut is in February if we get to hunt at all. I will let everyone know how they do. I avoided the Pro 3.0s as a bunch of people on Facebook Tacticam said they were having problems. You should ask them they really know everything about tacticams. Here is the one they recommend, you have to get an adapter plug on Amazon and shave it just a bit with a knife to get it to fit right but it takes like 2 minutes.
