Sorry, but no. The Hives, The Struts, The Vines, The Strokes et al. all sound like try-hard garage bands to me.

Saw them years ago at Wildhorse Saloon in Nashville. They put on a great show.

I saw them most recently in Sept. at Riot Fest.. Howlin' Pelle was in a boot, but he still brought it... Always a fun show!
They are one of those bands that I never have a strong desire to listen to on my own, but always love to see them live..

The Hives are a garage-influenced punk band who started by clearly ripping off The (International) Noise Conspiracy. Those other bands are not that.
