I'd go out and say it's the best video game to theater film series ever. They stick to a lot of source material and it's cheesy enough to where it's funny most of the time without being completely overdone. 3rd movie has a lot of similarities and music from Sonic Adventure 2 and it blends so well between nostalgia and modern film.

Really enjoyable movie.
By contrast, the Knuckles TV show is hot garbage. If you must watch it, at least it's only 6 20-minute episodes.
