For some reason I absolutely think it will be a retread as opposed to a young up and comer.

Does Flores count? Pretty sure he got an interview last go round.

I have a feeling Loomis will be eyeing HC that has experience and has a history of success in the NFL. One that may be older and be willing to overlook the current state of the team with the assurance of job security in the near to mid future while the rebuild happens.
I think he will be keeping a close eye on the situation in Dallas. If McCarthy is fired (as many expect will happen) IMO he shoots his shot at bringing McCarthy back to NOLA. IMO McCarthy would be interested in an organization that is hands off relative to Dallas. The question is how long does Jones wait to make that call.
I don't think he'd be the exciting shiny new sports car hire many would want but IMO he'd be the right hire given the state of affairs in New Orleans. I just don't think Mickey wants to gamble with an unknown at this point.
Short of that happening
In order of who I would want that I also believe would take the job.
1) Mike Vrabel
2) Todd Monken
3) Aaron Glenn

3. Lane kiffin. Mainly, I just wanna see my in-state companions melt haha

Never thought I’d be on board for Gruden but he wouldn’t be terrible for our current situation. We need some order and stability returned to the team. Obviously Vrabel would do the same.
I like Coen as far as the new guys go.
This job will eat some of these guys alive

I don't hate gruden at all, but isn't he suing the nfl? Unless us hiring him gets his lawsuit dismissed, I can't see us making this hire.

I want to do what the HBCUs did with Deion, Vick, Patriots with Meyo, Vrable in Tennessee etc.
Completely unknown guy that played about 10 to 15 years ago and see how they do
So....
1. Brees
2. Vilma
3. Fujita

The organization is so fricked we will re-hire Dennis Allen lol
But I don’t think we will get Ben Johnson, Joe Brady or Aaron Glenn. At least if Loomis is still making decisions.
All 3 are excellent candidates.

I suspect my list will not be popular. I’ll share my 3 and then share my do not want coaches.
1. Brian Flores: has been super successful as assistant coach in both NE and Minnesota. Was successful record wise in Miami.
2. Todd Monken: Experienced OC who is known for adjusting scheme to fit players. Has been head coach at a dumpster fire college team and turned it around (USM was 0-12 before he was hired. When he left they were a bowl team).
3.Liam Cohen: McVay system. Can negatively affect Bucs, young and innovative.
Do not want:
1. Joe Brady: Love what he did for the Tigers. But, he has one of the best current players at QB. Hides lots of bad decisions. Can’t get his failure at Carolina out of mind.
2. Kliff Kingsbury: another play caller that is propped up by a generational player (Daniels).
3. Mike McCarthy: I have no confidence that he is innovative, adjusts, or inspires players. I think he uses the same playbook from 2008.

Gruden….seriously!!
Not only is he super overrated ( coaching record is 117-112), but do you really think his comments would not negatively resonate with black players. What player is going to perform their best when they have to wonder if the coach believes disgusting things about them as a human being?
The fact that Gruden can even be mentioned just goes to show that if you win a superbowl as a coach and then go on MNF, you are set for life.
