Anyone Ever Had A Procedure To Get Rid Of Varicose Veins In The Legs?

If so, which one-Ablation or Venaseal? I did the Venaseal procedure 3 months ago; Dr said it usually take 3 months to see improvement but there is still no visible change in the veins. Thinking of going back & seeing what he says; may want to try the Ablation procedure.

I have an old fibrous sack on my shin that came about by crashing against some bleachers while fielding a fouled ball. That was 40 years ago and the veins on my right shin show varicose properties. Sometimes the fibrous sack aches. Doc says don’t worry about it and use a compression sleeve when it does hurt, which is seldom.
Anywho, I’ll follow this post to see what others think about procedures. Thanks.

I did an ablation and phlebectomy about 6 weeks ago. It’s healing up and looking great. Still a little bruising and swelling but it’s coming along nicely.
The post pic is about a week old so it’s gotten a little better since then.

I had the greater and lesser saphenous veins ablated. They fed a catheter up the vein and heated it up. Supposedly it should have destroyed them but I still see and feel them. I never had veins that protruded significantly but I was getting swelling in my left leg.

Had mine done eight years ago by Mississippi Vein Institute in Madison, MS. Legs still look and feel great. They do it with a laser. Would highly recommend them. Very nice and will answer all questions you have.

I had my left saphenous vein lasered out about 15 years ago. Was only minimally sore a day or so after the procedure. No issues ever since.

My wife does these procedures in clinic a couple days a week. They don’t use the venaseal anymore.
