What's some recommendations for a retired person?

My wife and I have a term life policy thru Berkshire Hathaway.

I would look at the financial stability of the company along with any "exclusions" they put in their policies. Suicide should be the only thing they exclude in my opinion.
State Farm, New York Life, NorthWestern Mutual... good solid companies that are financially sound. Probably not the least expensive though... but do u really want a cheap life insurance company?

Can’t get much better than either of those for whole life but most people just need term and you can go with Pacific Life, Corebridge (AIG), or Banner and have an extremely cheap policy with a company that’s not going out of business in either of our or our children’s’ lifetimes.

What are your concerns as to the reasons you need life insurance?

Was coming to post this same question. Hoping OP has investment money to help with retirement and doesn't need much life insurance.
