Rant:/ Gayle and Mickey

I don’t normally rant in here, but I’ve had enough of what Gayle is allowing to happen. Leaving Loomis in charge of this team is a continuing disaster - he’s more concerned with being the smartest arse in the room than making any smart decision.

He completely loses when it comes to the draft, free agency, and contract/staffing decisions. He’s had 2 hall of fame draft classes that only produced one championship, which I’m grateful for, but with the talent and hall of fame quarterback we had, we should have had at least a couple more. He has us in salary cap hell with old slow vets and loves to whiff on draft picks. He’s picked guys like Marcus Davenport over Lamar Jackson, and let dudes like Trey Hendrickson walk out the door.

Anyone else around the league they would have been booted a long time ago. I get he’s probably in the Benson will, but it’s time to say thanks and frick off so we can try to pull off an actual legitimate healthy rebuild. Gayle has been blinded by the “we’re a family” aspect of Loomis and everyone during the early years of Payton and Brees that she thought she wouldn’t have to make these kind of decisions, but the on-field product has been absolute trash since Brees left.

There’s no current belief it will get better, because whatever head coach we get will be picked by Loomis, who doesn’t deserve to oversee anything with the situation he’s put us in as a franchise, not to mention botching the last coaching search as a whole hiring DA.

It’s 5 years past time do a full rebuild, hell, we could have been finished rebuilding by now. But Gayle needs to do an actual GM/head coach search, so until that happens I wouldn’t hold your breath on any hope for this team to turn into a contender. Rant over.

But even with the health scares they’ve caused and years this team has taken off my life, I’m Saints and WHO DAT NATION til the day I die! Can’t wait to see our team go undefeated in 2025 en route to our second ever Super Bowl!!! WHO DAT!!!
