So did the original Santa that fell off the roof die? The elves and Bernard never skipped a beat… never a service or memorial or tear that I saw. They just transitioned right into the new boss.

Because Santa Claus isn't a person, he's a "position" filled by a person. And they work for Santa Claus, no matter who the person is filling the position is.

I mean, what happened to the dead Santa’s Mrs. Claus? He had to have one, remember Santa Clause 2? Did she just disappear? The elves ship her arse off to the funny farm or the closest retirement center?
