How much do ticket sales affect an NBA team vs the NFL?

I know the TV and other deals are the real pot of gold in football but how about the NBA?
I have heard a lot about a precipitous dropoff in renewals. And I just went to Vivid seats and there are a ton of seats for the game Thursday. Historically, that is a window where a lot of folks try to catch a game but there are thousands of seat for under ten dollars still there and over a hundred floor seats. I remember big crowds in the dome for the Jazz over the holiday week when I was a kid,
And it appears there is to be a fire sale and rebuild,
