Dec 22nd…Less than month to go and Trump does 180 on Ukraine-Russian war ending by 1/20/25

Trump showed his total ignorance when he bombastically crowed he would single handedly end the conflict between Russia and Ukraine (aka NATO) by Jan 20th.
So now he’s backpedaling and doubling down on stupid and saying he’ll now continue supplying arms to Ukraine until Russia calls a truce…Putin has said Russia isn’t going back to Minsk 2022, so Trump will fail on this if he keeps up the neocon flip-flopping.
With neocon Rubio at State and this clown Kellogg as his Ukraine envoy - notice no envoy to Russia - there will be no Malta like ending to this where Lord Trump sits between Churchill and Stalin.

People say he is only doing that so as not to hurt his negotiating position. Let it play out -- if we're still shoveling money over there next summer, then I would be upset.
Rubio/Stefanik/Waltz/Hook/Gorka are not much different than Pompeo and Haley. That is a concern.

Seriously a dumb take. Ballistic missiles have upped the problem significantly. The assassination of the general in Russia has further complicated this. Biden just sent another another $700M in arms and billions in financial aid. All of this since the election.

I’m not sure he’s in a position to really dictate any terms of peace. Z, with the instruction of his western handlers, walked on a deal that would have kept the entirety of Ukraine under Kyiv in exchange over no NATO membership.
Russia has made it clear that they are annexing the eastern oblasts. Any treaty that involves Russian withdrawal is probably a no go.
It’s a complete mess, and damned if you, damned if you don’t type of scenario.
One scenario I’ve read is that Ukraine would give up occupied oblasts in exchange Ukraine would join the EU and be able to develop stronger economic ties with the west.

Other than the one headline someone posted here about Trump continuing the same as Biden on Ukraine. I see nothing but ending the war in Ukraine and Putin agreeing.
This will be twisted as well---- as capitulating to Putin, but our current foreign policy of ignoring Russia isn't working and is plain dumb.
The current status of Ukraine is they are sent money via the EU (news thread posted here) our entire debt was suspended to load the money to Ukraine trying to fool people in a desperate manner.
Trump can't stop the funding now. And Biden funneled the EU money.

I have a suspicion that there will not be any capitulation. Trump has a real opportunity here. Putin is in a tough spot. Even if Russia gets to Kiev (which is seriously doubtful), this is still a money and people pit that won’t go away unless either a deal is made or Russia withdraws to its borders. Russia needs the deal. Trump comes into office with the US in a very strong position.
