Thats cause the team actually thought they could win and was actually playing. I think the team had given up on JL IMO

All the more reason to say that he is the starting qb. Half of the battle is having your team believe in you.

YEAR CMP ATT YDS CMP% YPA LNG TD INT SACK RAT
2008 36 73 419 49.3 5.74 41 4 1 9 112.87

I am not ready to crown a guy as the UNDISPUTED STARTER with the above stats. Sorry, im glad JJ can run the ball just as I am he's only gotten 1 int, however the more a fresh plays the more bad shite can happen.

If JL were a SR, and the above numbers were what we were looking at for next season (regardless who's nubers they were)...,would there still be this amount of JJ cock sucking going on??.... HELL NO, its the dislike for JL that pumps up JJ for many of you.

He deserves the nod right now, but that could change over the next few months.
Truth be told, what diff does it make in the offseason who I or you bleives should be the starter..? Let it play out when spring prac starts and let the best man appear. Im gonna support whoever that may be.

That is the worst QB performance of any LSU QB.
Since you are not talking about the '94 Auburn game, you are insanely wrong.

Remind me again who came in and won the Tenn. game limping down the field?
He didn't "come in", he started that game.

You're right it's not about Rohan. But the analogy is the same between Lee & Jefferson.
Okay. So if Jefferson goes down (like Rohan did), Lee will come in and win 4 straight SEC games en route to All-SEC honors? And this is "garbage" to you?

Just curious, but how exactly did you think this analogy was going to help your argument?

Booty was NOT a good QB at LSU. He just wasnt.
History, the SEC coaches, rational objectivity, and the performances on the field all beg to differ.

was night and day when Rohan came in for Booty.
That's because "great" is night and day different from "good".

If every QB who pales in comparison to Rohan is not "good", then LSU has had about 3 "good" QBs in our history (besides Ro).

he has no argument. He has an opinion.
He, like others on this board hate JL...everythign they post concerning this topic is based on that.
NO logic, no common sense, just hate filled JL bashing... nice to know we have such loyal "fans" huh?

UAB would agree with me. If you remember, nobody at the time thought Booty was a good QB. The fans didnt have faith in him, the players didnt play well with him, and the team did not win all that many games with Booty. He did OK, but he was not good. I rememebr many people wanted to see Rohan or Nall in there.

How he won all-sec is a mystery to me, it must have been a bad year for sec QBs. The NFL was not impressed with Booty, despite him being a drop back passer.

Rohan and Nall were both started ahead of Booty at first. In '99, Nall started the San Jose State game and Rohan started the North Texas game and the Auburn game. He was benched for Booty when Auburn was up 17 zip in the 2nd quarter and Ro was 4/11 with 2 INTs, a sack and a lost fumble. Ro didn't start again until the stubborn-assed DiNardo was fired and Hunter started him against Arkansas. He promplty dominated them and then everybody wanted Rohan.

In 2000, both Ro and Nall were hampered by injuries, Ro with his leg and Nall with a groin injury in fall camp. That's why Ro was limping when he beat Tennessee and how Florida knocked him out of the game (and the rest of the season, til the Peach Bowl 2nd half).

and the team did not win all that many games with Booty.
After the 2000 Peach Bowl, even counting that as a Rohan win, Booty had won more games as LSU's QB than Rohan had. Ro had won a grand total of 3 games as LSU's QB: North Texas '99, Tennessee '00 and Peach Bowl '00. Booty had won 6 games as LSU's QB: Ole Miss, Alabama, Miss. State, Kentucky, Houston and Western Carolina.

Booty had many more starts, but most of them came in the atrocious '99 season before DiNardo split, when not even Ro (who was WAAAAAY better than Booty) could do very well.

Because he had a pretty good season.

There were no Tebow's, Staffords or Weurffel's, to be sure. But Rex Grossman and Jared Lorenzen were there, and both of them were pretty good.

They were impressed enough to draft him.

Good post, your memory is better than mine. Yeah, that 1999 season was miserable mostly b/c of the defense, you're right.

Shoot, the way Shepard has been hyped? These guys will probably be screaming for JJ's head the second he throws an incomplete pass.

21.THANKS. And i can handle incompletions just not 3 or 4 INTS a game. I could accept Lee if he didnt calculate for 20% of the TDs scored against LSU.
