Didn’t realize until yesterday that they are the 40 something most profitable company, taking in 22B in profits a year.

fricking incredible when you’d think they’d be close to net 0 after paying claims and actuaries balancing year over year.

I was almost about to pull the trigger on a United policy until this came out and saw the numbers that the decline so many claims.

Follow up… guess there’s a reason that insurance costs only ever go up and never down.

Actuaries aren’t rebalancing or return excess funds back into policies. Just pocketing and fricking people.
