Got to see them live in 2002. It was a good show, except they started almost 2 hours late.

Cake is awesome. One of my favorite bands. But why was there a full concert on Letterman?

Saw them a couple months ago for the first time. No opener. Just Cake for over 2 hours with an intermission halfway through. It was fantastic! They still sound great and played so many good songs. Would go see them again.

Live on Letterman was an online concert series webcast by CBS and Vevo. The concerts were filmed live in the Ed Sullivan Theater, the home of Late Show with David Letterman, and streamed on the CBS website.[1] Despite the title, these concerts usually were not actually broadcast on Late Show with David Letterman.

Thanks for the clarification.

Saw them a couple years ago in Austin. Then spent 40 minutes giving out a tree to plant, had to stop playing because of time requirements, and didn’t play “The Distance.” I’ve never been more disappointed in a band/performance. Play music, don’t care about your conservation agenda.
