-I’m thinking we can’t keep Pickett off the field.

-Hearing great things about Curne.

-Berry will be needed in spells.

Maybe Shanklin and Jimcoily.

What am I missing?

I would hope that we don't have 2 TF starting on the OL, to go along with Chester.

Worked out really well with Will Campbell and Emory Jones their freshman year.

Berry, Braker, Curne, LaFleur, Miller, Pickett, Ross, Thomas, and Williams will all get significant playing time if not outright starting.

Really just talking about valuable minutes in position. Not just special teams or mop up duty.

I personally hope we start two true freshmen at safety next season. Can't be any worse than this season went back there.

With hearing how athletic and strong Curne is, I would not be surprised if he move over the the other side of the line and plays DT.

Our DL is strong right now. We need strong athletic linemen to push DL around.

We are so spoiled by the safety position. Just think of the LSU legacy at safety:

Adams
Mathieu
Landry
Reid
Clark
Steltz
Johnson
Delpit

Just to name a few.

I want that that kind of safety play back.

Pickett starts day one.

Curne and Thomas could easily start, but they'll have to battle some pretty good OLineman.

Berry will get lots of reps in tandom with Durham, and maybe have a Zavion Thomas role.

I don't see any Safeties, LBs, DEs, TEs, or WRs getting many starting reps at this point.

I think one DT will get into the rotation some, but not sure who that would be. Williams is ranked the highest, but I though Mathis had the best film.

I fully expect to sign a high level starter at safety from the portal. Maybe even two.

He's mentioned Curne as a really strong player who could take some reps

Zion the DT he's mentioned.

Interestingly he mentioned Boderlon as someone who could contribute early.

Pickett is probably as close to a lock as a day 1 starter as you can get for our secondary

Berry needed "in spells"? Seriously? He'll be the #2 back behind Durham and will get tons of carries.

I’ll keep saying it, Francis will probably be one of the best recruits in this class. That kid is one of them ones!!

Pickett, Curne, Williams, Berry, Wright

A lot will depend on who LSU loses and gains in the portal. With so many participating in spring practice, we will have a better idea post-spring practice.

We also have Spears, Joel Rogers (think he redshirted), Toviano and Jackson as young guys. No clue how these guys are progressing in their development. Guys are allowed to get better and 4 were highly recruited. No matter what I think you need one proven safety in the portal
