I'm pretty sure they plan to redshirt him. He was a developmental take from a low level JUCO.

He’s in no condition to play this year. Never was part of this teams plans.

He is cleared to play and is practicing & will help fill the front court void from Reed's injury. Good rim protector. Coaches are looking forward to seeing what he can do. No plans to redshift.
