With Ohio State losing once again to Michigan how many here would he interested in Day as the Saints HC if he and OSU mutually agree to part ways? Also who here in general is interested in going the college route for a HC since some of the top names will likely be more interested in Chicago, Dallas, both NY jobs etc…

He’s a terrible coach. That’s why he might get fired. Why would an NFL team make him a head coach after that?

Why on earth would anyone be interested in Ryan Day. He’s underachieved to the point he might get fired. That’s like seeing Bill Callahan at Nebraska and thinking, “Oh yeah, I gotta hire that guy!”

Ryan Day is a bad college head coach. He would be a worse hire than Dennis Allen. I’d almost rather Dennis Allen be rehired and I hat Dennis Allen.

Not Ryan Day. Or any other college coach. I’d honestly rather just roll with the Rizzler while we clean up the roster a bit more if we commit to getting right. This is honestly provided we do a full search and the top guys turn us down for someone else.

Honestly I think the top names would be interested in Chicago and Jacksonville first as they likely have the best rosters depending on which young QB they prefer. No top guy is going to want to deal with Jerry’s aging bullshite in their big shot and the NY jobs are kinda of messes.

There is no college coach who is worth a shot right now. You go find a young offensive guy (like how we found Payton) Aaron Glenn might be the only defensive guy I’d be happy about. Ryan Day as an nfl head coach would be comical

so a guy like Dan Lanning doesn’t move the needle for you?

Ben Johnson isn’t coming here and Lanning is just like Payton but on the defensive side of the ball.

anything tied to the Payton era needs to stay far and away from New Orleans.

You’ve lost all credibility right here.

Why? Many people are ready for a fresh start and don’t want another “continuity” hire.

I wouldn’t hate a Glenn hire, but I’d rather a fresh start.

The only thing Ryan Day has proven to be above average at is recruiting, and in reality every coach at that school has been able to succeed there. He does nothing useful on game days. If anything he’s going to be coaching at a smaller school next year, not the big leagues.
