What's the crypto faction of this board's opinion on SHIBA Inu?

Is this a super long term buy and hold or just stay away from? It's certainly cheap enough to throw some money at it that I'm not worried about losing with the hopes that the daily burn is enough to create some serious wealth by 2050.

Am I retarded or should I buy some of this?

IMO, you won't grow much wealth with Shiba. It's already a top 15 crypto with a huge marketcap.

For building wealth over this timeframe, I wouldn't touch anything else besides BTC.

People need to read this over and over again. Everything else is a casino.

5.6 billion shiba inu coins were burned a month ago and today over a billion more have been burned, in addition to the millions every day in between. They're burning more and more coins and seem to be committed to burning a shite ton of the supply.

Now my knowledge on crypto is extremely limited but what the hell, why not throw a little bit at it and hold for 20-25 years? Could be a big winner eventually.

Or I could lose everything I put into it, which won't be a whole lot anyway.

I don't think it's going to be "a thing" but I do think if it goes to 1 cent then I'll make out like a rose off a few hundred dollars investment. Really tempted to put $1,000 into it and just let it ride.

SHIB won't ever make 1 cent, best you can hope for is 0.001 over the next 5 years. The market cap won't allow it unless they turn up their burn rate 10x

My time horizon is more like 20-25 years and I see a lot about it being possible for it to make it to a penny by then.

Supposedly the goal is to really ratchet up the burn rate over the years. Since I started this thread 300 million more have been burned. Today's total is up to over 1.2 Billion burned. Of course that's a drop in the bucket when 589 trillion are in circulation but if that number can get consistent then increase each day, we could get somewhere in 20 years.

Even though I'm still in it, I don't ever expect 0.01 in my lifetime. Too much needs to happen for it to hit that goal. Although if it does no one will ever hear from me again.

I'd have a new number and name and all of my social media would be deleted

You currently hold ~$128,000 worth of Shiba Inu?

Correct, I had more at one point but decided to pay off my house and put a lot into BTC/ETH when SHIB took off the first time. I've continually put $100 every two weeks into SHIB.

So you either have balls of steel or a net worth so high that $128k is an insignificant sum of money to you. Either situation is impressive.

LOL
you realize how big that number is I assume. So what is the number of coins in circulation that would support a $0.01 price? What is the current market cap? How do you know there’s even a “plan” to do it?

20 years is 7300 days. 1B per day is 7.3T
