there are only 4 amendments to vote on for Dec.7...first one in that guide passed on Nov.5
1 - no
2 - no
3 - no
4 - no
amendments 2 and 3 just slow the process of passing a bill that should have been reviewed and considered before the vote.
"In June 2023, lawmakers passed more than $52 billion worth of budget bills in the last half-hour of their two-month regular session, in a frenzied series of votes. The bills were central to a legislative dispute over whether to spend money above a constitutionally set cap aimed at limiting growth in government spending. "
so amendment 2 buys them 2 more days of dispute and then 3 buys them 6 more days of dispute so 8 total days to most likely reach the same result? this doesn't need to be in the constitution if the house and senate set their own rules.

First one needs to be a yes
Need to be able to get rid of shitty judges easier

No on all.
By a general rule I don’t agree with making changes to the constitution. It was written like it was for a reason. Legislators need to operate in the lanes given.

Don't read Amendment #2 the way you do: I read it as the legislature can't railroad a bill from the conference committee to a final vote. If passed, I hope Amendment #2 will require there to be 48 hours before the final vote, thus enabling the chance to discover what the "select members" of the conference committee tried to hide in the bill and shine the light of day on their BS.
I'm opposed to Amendment #3 because the legislators will use the opportunity to not do anything for 6 additional days before trying to pass everything in the final minutes. This amendment will enable even more procrastination by our elected officials before they cry about lack to time to do their jobs properly.

The explanation in the link says that there is already a rule requiring a 48 hour wait period:
under "Current situation"
"Legislative rules require lawmakers in each chamber to wait at least 48 hours after receiving a conference committee report on the main appropriations bill, which provides for the general state operating budget, before taking a final vote to send the bill to the governor. But lawmakers can
waive those rules with a majority vote. "
this amendment would make it mandatory and slow down the process. if everyone is in agreement why not waive the 48 hour period let it pass?
amendment 2 also facilitates more procrastination from the legislature.

You have valid points except the legislative leaders will delay the conference committee on a key piece of legislation then coerce the full body to waive the 48 hour rule to steamroll through the manipulated legislation without sufficient time for review.
Cynical? Yes because the Louisiana legislature has rammed legislation through in the final hours of a session without sufficient time for review. (I believe Clay Schexnayder used this strategy in the House a few sessions ago.) I prefer to remove the manipulative tools from a politician's inventory.
It is unfortunate that the people willing to run for the House and Senate are too often people I would not want to represent me--and the people I would want as a representative don't run for office. We can only pick from those who run.

Amendment 1 addresses the problem of the fox guarding the hen house…currently the members of the ONLY body who can discipline a judge are appointed by judge’s lobbying associations…. Malfeasance in office (incompetence) is not one of the things that you can be disciplined for…. And there’s currently no deadline so they take multiple years to look into things
Amendment 1 fixes all of those things
It cannot be fixed, except through a constitutional amendment because the current process is in the constitution
