And plays next year?
Seems like he could use more development.
Him along with Jacobian Guillory coming back would really help.

Some of underwood’s funds seem to be going to Perkins coming back. Along with Portal players. Not sure exactly what position he will play but hopefully it’s one that makes him elite again

I think he could be pretty dangerous at star. He could blitz and cover depending on the down. No way he's not better than Burns

Burns will finally be gone so put him back at Star and let him cause havoc

I agree. Pickett + Phillips at CB. Perkins at STAR. Two Safties from the portal and hopefully one is a stud. Gulillory back on the interior and pick up a pass rusher. Weeks brothers at LB + Keys. Defense could be nasty next year if it plays out right.

So a bunch of average players coming back and some true freshman means the defense will be nasty?

From what we’ve seen on the field his best position has been Star. Not going to speculate why the move was made because at this point who cares. Our D plays with our LBs mainly inside the tackle box and he’s a 4-3 weak side outside LB so his position doesn’t actually exist in this D. I mean sure on passing downs WLBs play there in the NFL but that’s different from having him there in your base look when the run threat% is high. Let the NFL worry about that and just play him where he’s most effective whether that means he’s on the field every play or not.

If he comes back next year, he needs to shed the weight he put on to play ILB and become our new Star.

It will be a learning curve for sure but makes the most sense, long term.

You’re not thinking. Pickett and Phillips are arguably the two best CBs in their class and have NFL athleticism and length already. Perkins is a stud when he’s in the correct position. Guillory has been our best DL the past 2 years up until his injury. Whit can takeover a game although he has stuff to clean up and Keys will only improve. Plus if they grab an all conference Safety from some P4 team then yeah the defense will be pretty good. Please do research instead of looking at the box scores buddy. Year 2 in Baker scheme as well

His name is “Tool”.
How smart do you think he is?

Star does seem like the best option for Perkins - it seems they got to find a way to get Toviano involved though who has been at Star behind Burns.. I’m surprised he can’t get a look at a back safety on this team

Pat Peterson didn’t see the field until early Nov
Perkins has been a stud in 2 games in 3 years
Guillory has underachieved but the rant always thinks the injured players are all Americans
I would love an all conf safety tho!

Please use your brain and not your heart, buddy.

Toviano will have all the opportunities in the world this offseason if he wants them, Burns is gone, wouldn't be surprised if Ryan is too. Gilbert isn't very good
