Our Defender notes:

Meadows did not go anywhere this weekend.
Pickett did not go anywhere this weekend.
Phillips did not go anywhere this weekend.
No LSU recruits visited other schools this weekend.

Nevertheless, rumors persist that Meadows will be flipping. Now, I don't want Meadows to decommit from LSU. Receivers who are 6' 6" don't grow on trees. But in Louisiana, he's not irreplaceable.

And if LSU did lose Meadows, picking up a couple of 5* linemen would really soften the loss.

Solomon Thomas visited LSU this weekend.

Captain Crown, you need to make this happen. Your team has lost to Vanderbilt and Oklahoma, you NEED to find a new home.

Meadows always felt like he came leaving. And WR is a position I never worry about.

If he goes elsewhere, it is what it is. I'd much rather get Stewart.

I would not mind Solomon Thomas at LG and Emery Jones at RG next year.

Grade our wrs this season.

For a position everyone says they don't worry about there sure has been a lot of bitching about it this year. There was literally a thread this week where Hankton was being raked about his recruiting. Seems many do indeed worry about that position no matter the popular mantra.

Maybe in the NFL.

That man’s either gonna be at LT for LSU or starting somewhere in the NFL on the right side.

I don't.

No, lacy isn't Nabers but he's been good enough.

AA has been great.

CJ has been good when given the opportunity but we don't target him enough in my opinion.

We've for some reason stopped even trying to get Zavion on the ball.

The only guy that's been an actual disappointment is Hilton and Maybe Shelton.

This doesn't even account for the younger guys who will have more opportunities next season.

I personally don't think Meadows is some game changer that would revolutionize our receiver room. Maybe Dakorian would've been but who knows.

Receiver is not that big of an issue. At all, quite frankly. We have other positions that are much more concerning and make you go "who the frick are we gonna use there?"

So I stand by my statement

I wish I had more than one downvote for this.

Our WR corps is cheeks this year and yet morons keep on spouting off cliche garbage like “WRs grow on trees in Louisiana” and “LSU always has WRs. That’s one position we don’t worry about”.

Yep, I think we will be much better without Lacy. Lacy has made some great catches for us but some even worse drops too. We need to be hitting Zavion on quick routes more like AA both are so dangerous in space. CJ is a possession guy like Lacy.

Add in a healthy Kyle Parker that looked like he was going to be a stud and hopefully Billiot breaks out. I think we’re just fine at WR

Some good pieces. The development of Green is key for us to be very good at the receiver spot. I think he breaks out next year. I hope Pimpton develops and we keep Green at WR.

I look at Stewart the same as I do Bryce. LSU can not lose him. They will do whatever it takes to get him across the finish line.

Anything new on the Thomas front after his visit?

He just visited Oregon so I am on the lookout for another article around lunch time for us.

He has an upcoming to Ohio State planned this weekend.

Silent on our end but he's making the round$ doing what every top recruit is doing.
